Proklinik is an applied prosthetics and orthotics centre that develops personalised solutions for every patient, combining sector-deep experience with academic depth and a commitment to improving quality of life.

As one of Türkiye's most established orthotic and prosthetic institutions, we have been an official member of Ottobock's global Ottobock.care patient-care network since August 2023, delivering our services within an international quality framework.

Since our founding we have made it our mission to bring technology and a human-centred approach together — providing ergonomic, comfortable and high-performance solutions for every individual whose mobility has been partially or fully restricted. We believe every patient story is unique, and our service spans the full path: design, application, rehabilitation and long-term follow-up.

Our founding story

The foundations of Proklinik were laid in 2007 in Istanbul under the leadership of our founding partner and Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) Hüseyin Laçin, with the vision of building a world-class prosthetics and orthotics application centre in Türkiye. From day one, our mission has been to bring qualified, integrated and patient-centred care to a sector that needed it.

As patient demand grew and our service vision expanded, we opened additional branches across Istanbul. In 2018, we merged with Denge Ortopedi — operating in Fulya since 2012 — to form a single corporate identity under the Proklinik–Denge umbrella. This consolidation strengthened our service capacity, production infrastructure and clinical experience, and laid the groundwork for an integrated care model now referenced across the sector.

The most significant milestone came in 2023, when we entered into a strategic partnership with Ottobock — the German global leader with over 100 years of experience in orthopaedic technology — and became an official member of the Ottobock.care patient-care network. This partnership goes far beyond component supply: it covers joint R&D programmes, the integration of digital treatment solutions in Türkiye, and the application of international quality standards at the highest level.

Social responsibility and our work in the earthquake region

The major earthquake that struck Türkiye in February 2023 underscored, once again, how vital orthopaedic technology services are within the broader healthcare infrastructure. We were one of the active partners coordinating with Ottobock and the Ottobock Global Foundation on international relief efforts immediately after the disaster.

In mobile patient-care and workshop containers established in Adana, we contributed to the delivery of prosthetic and orthotic care for earthquake survivors who had experienced limb loss. During this process we also supported the wider rollout of Ottobock's advanced digital treatment solutions — including TF Design and MyFit TT — across Türkiye. Through 3D scanning and 3D-printed test sockets, fast, precise, individually-tailored treatment was made available to many users, including those affected by the earthquake.

For Proklinik, social responsibility is not a campaign or a temporary agenda — it is an inseparable part of our corporate identity. We see it as our duty to support people who have experienced limb loss with the highest standards of care, especially in their hardest moments after disasters or trauma, both at home and beyond our borders.

What makes us different

Prosthetics and orthotics is one of the fastest-evolving fields in healthcare. Microprocessor-controlled knees and ankles, myoelectric arm and hand prostheses, lightweight carbon-fibre and titanium-alloy structures, 3D production techniques and AI-supported gait analysis are continuously redefining what is possible. We see it as our duty to deliver this global transformation to users in Türkiye in the fastest and most accurate way.

Our membership in the Ottobock.care global network gives our patients direct access to the most advanced prosthetic and orthotic technologies in the world — including the Genium and C-Leg microprocessor knee series, bionic hand and arm solutions, and the Exopulse Mollii Suit neuromodulation suit. For our users this means more than a product advantage: it means direct technical support from the manufacturer, continuously refreshed certifications and long-term service guarantees.

What separates our service from any other is the simultaneous, equally-weighted application of technical excellence, academic knowledge and humane care. Every enquiry at Proklinik is treated not as a case but as a unique life story. From medical assessment and measurement, through biomechanical analysis and device design, to fabrication, application, rehabilitation and long-term technical service — every stage is led by the same multidisciplinary team within an individually-tailored treatment plan.

In a country where roughly 1.5 million people live with a physical disability — and where an ageing population, diabetes-related amputations and traffic-related limb loss continue to rise — the need for qualified, accessible and sustainable prosthetic and orthotic care grows clearer every year. Proklinik takes on the responsibility of being not just an application centre, but an institution that creates knowledge, advances the sector and helps set the standards.

Digital transformation and technology leadership

The prosthetics and orthotics field is undergoing a deep transformation — from traditional plaster casting toward digital scanning and additive manufacturing. Proklinik is one of the leading practitioners of this transition in Türkiye, bringing the most current digital solutions to patients through our international partners.

Within our practice, measurements taken via 3D scanning are transferred directly to digital workflows, designed in biomechanical analysis software, and fabricated as test sockets through 3D printers. This approach shortens intervention times, accelerates renewal when needed, and makes simultaneous collaboration with production centres anywhere in the world possible. Genium-series microprocessor knees, neuromodulation-based orthotic solutions like Exopulse Mollii Suit, and myoelectric upper-extremity prostheses are all delivered with the highest possible precision thanks to this digital infrastructure.

Our mission

Our mission is to deliver personalised prosthetic and orthotic solutions designed for the highest comfort and performance to every individual living with limb loss or restricted mobility. To get there we commit to:

  • Producing solutions grounded in scientific evidence and biomechanical principles.
  • Bringing the full advantages of the Ottobock.care global network to our patients in Türkiye.
  • Sustaining multidisciplinary collaboration between physician, physiotherapist, orthotist and prosthetist at the highest level.
  • Offering every patient not just a device but a comprehensive process — including education, rehabilitation and long-term technical support.
  • Reaching individuals most in need of care during disasters, trauma and disadvantage as a social responsibility.
  • Contributing knowledge, experience and training to raise national standards across the sector.

Our vision

Our vision is to be a pioneering centre recognised beyond national borders for our knowledge, production and clinical capability — a centre that shapes the future of the field through innovation and integrates academia with the application floor. Our position in the Ottobock.care global network turns this from a national goal into an international standard of care.

We follow advances in microprocessor-controlled prostheses, myoelectric systems, AI-supported gait analysis and 3D-printed manufacturing closely — and invest to make these technologies accessible to users in Türkiye and the surrounding region. We are preparing today for tomorrow's prosthesis and orthosis user, with the goal of taking an active role in the development of smarter, lighter, more responsive and more individualised devices.

Our objective extends well beyond running an application centre: we aim to be a reference institution that works alongside every stakeholder shaping users' quality of life — physicians, physiotherapists, manufacturers, universities, insurers and civil society — co-creating solutions and helping set the standards.

Our values

The principles that guide every member of our team in their daily practice — built on professional ethics, scientific rigour and respect for human dignity.

01

Human-centred care

At the heart of our service is always the person. We see our patients as individuals with their own life stories, expectations and goals — not as case files. Empathy, patience and compassion shape every clinical decision and every conversation.

02

Scientific rigour

Every application is grounded in current data from anatomy, biomechanics and rehabilitation sciences. Our team participates regularly in national and international congresses, symposia and Ottobock's worldwide technical training and certification programmes.

03

Quality and reliability

All components we use are certified, internationally compliant and sourced from globally recognised manufacturers. As an official Ottobock.care member, our product validation and quality processes follow international protocols. Every step — from measurement to rehabilitation — is repeatable, traceable and audited.

04

Innovation

We don't only follow technological advances; we invest continuously in turning them into adaptable solutions for the people we serve. Microprocessor knees, bionic hand and arm applications, the Exopulse Mollii Suit, silicone aesthetic prostheses, 3D-printed test sockets and bespoke orthotic solutions are all part of an ever-growing portfolio.

05

Holistic care

A prosthesis or orthosis isn't where the journey ends — it's where it begins. The adaptation period, correct usage training, physiotherapy-supported rehabilitation and long-term technical maintenance are inseparable parts of a successful application. Proklinik never leaves its patients alone in this process.

06

Transparency and ethics

We share treatment and device options openly — benefits, limitations and costs together. Behind every recommendation we make is a scientific rationale and the patient's long-term benefit. We prioritise human health and functional recovery over commercial interests.

07

Social responsibility

Reaching disadvantaged communities and disaster survivors is one of our primary commitments. Our work during the 2023 earthquake — together with the Ottobock Global Foundation — is a symbolic expression of this commitment.

08

Continuous improvement

In healthcare technology, there is no moment of "enough." Our team continually refreshes its knowledge through internal training, manufacturer certifications, international fairs and seminars — making the next step forward a daily priority.

Our team and areas of expertise

Proklinik's most valuable asset is our team — a 37-person staff of complementary specialists led by our Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) and founding partner Hüseyin Laçin. We work alongside our patients across clinical assessment, measurement, biomechanical analysis, fabrication, application, rehabilitation and technical service.

Our service portfolio includes lower-extremity solutions covering trans-tibial, trans-femoral and hip prostheses; microprocessor-controlled knee systems including the Genium and C-Leg series; upper-extremity prostheses for hand, arm and shoulder; myoelectric and bionic upper-extremity solutions; one-to-one matched silicone aesthetic prostheses for hand, finger, toe and arm; bespoke orthoses for children and adults including spinal corsets, lower- and upper-extremity orthoses, walking aids; and advanced neuromodulation-based orthotic solutions such as Exopulse Mollii Suit. Every application is fully customised, designed and produced after a physician's report, clinical assessment and lifestyle analysis.

Our promise to you

We believe that a well-designed prosthesis or orthosis is more than a device. It is the tangible form of an individual's decision to walk again, hold again, return to the flow of life. With the awareness of this responsibility, we commit to giving our patients not just a high-quality product but a supportive team, a reliable follow-up process and a holistic experience that makes life easier.

By combining our local clinical experience with the technological depth of our global partner Ottobock, we make the most advanced orthopaedic technology standards in the world accessible to every patient.

On the road to mobility, we put our knowledge, our experience and our hearts to work — for you.
