Everything you need to know
An MPK uses sensors and software to dynamically adjust resistance to your gait — providing safer stair and ramp descent, easier walking at variable speeds and stable standing. Ottobock pioneered fully microprocessor-controlled knees with the original C-Leg in 1997.
Typical stay: 5–7 days. This includes initial assessment (day 1), fitting and alignment (day 2), rehabilitation and training (days 3–5), and final review (day 6–7). Your personalised schedule is shared before arrival.
Costs vary by device (Kenevo, C-Leg 4, Genium X4). Our all-inclusive packages cover device, fitting, accommodation, transfers and rehabilitation — typically 40–60% less than comparable European or US clinics. Request a personalised quote via the form.
Microprocessor knee fitting is entirely non-surgical. If you've already had an amputation, there is no additional surgery — only precision fitting, programming and rehabilitation. Any discomfort during initial gait training is normal and minimal.
Our team offers full support in English, Turkish, German, Arabic, French and Russian. Additional languages are available on request through professional medical interpreters.
SAW is Istanbul's Asian-side international airport, served by major European, Middle-Eastern and Russian airlines. It is just 20 minutes by VIP transfer from the Altunizade clinic and hotel. We recommend SAW over Istanbul Airport (IST) for shorter transfer times.
First-year remote follow-ups are included in your package. In-person revisits are welcome — we maintain your full medical record and fitting data. Many patients combine adjustments with Istanbul tourism.
While we don't directly bill international insurers, we provide all invoices and medical documentation needed for your insurance claim or NHS / GKV reimbursement application. Our patient coordinator can guide you through the process.
