C-Leg users can now enjoy effortless bike rides thanks to the new Intuitive Cycling feature. After just a few pedal rotations, the C-Leg automatically detects when you start cycling, and once you reach your destination, it seamlessly switches back to walking mode as you step off the bike.
C-Leg 4's new manual locking function enables even more stability by conveniently locking the MPK in a fully extended position. Activated by a simple tapping pattern, this feature is especially useful during sporting activities or in situations where increased safety is needed.
For users who exit the Intuitive Stance Function too easily, we've added a smart new feature to the C-Leg 4 that can be selected to support you. Deliberate Stance provides a more robust standing lock which is harder to exit and therefore is more appropriate for C-Leg wearers that require enhanced standing support.
Looking for more support for your favourite activities? MyMode Plus offers extensive options for work, leisure, and sports. You can choose two settings for your prosthetist to program, which can then be easily activated using the Cockpit app or a movement pattern.
Confidence
When walking down slopes or stairs, C-Leg's stance flexion resistance allows you to descend safely. With the C-Leg 4, you can choose how the stance flexion behaviour is delivered. When the supported function is enabled, the MPK's resistance dynamically increases as the knee joint angle increases, providing you with confidence and self-assurance on ramps or stairs.
The C-Leg 4 features an improved stance release function, allowing you to move easily and safely in small, confined spaces with smaller and quicker steps.
The new C-Leg 4 includes 'Stumble Recovery Plus,' which sets it apart from other MPKs. This feature is always active throughout the entire swing phase. Whether in swing flexion or swing extension, Stumble Recovery Plus is continuously ready to support you should a stumble occur.
The C-Leg's 'Supported Sitting' function offers enhanced support when sitting down by dynamically increasing resistance as the knee joint angle increases.
The C-Leg 4's Training Function is perfect for those initial steps and sessions with your physiotherapist. When activated, both you and your therapist will hear a beep when stance release has been performed correctly.
Everyday
The new C-Leg 4 is now IP68, enabling you to have greater confidence in diverse environments. Whether you're walking the dog, caught in a rain shower, or accidentally splashed when watering the garden, you can be assured that the electronics in your C-Leg are protected from dust, sand, dirt and occasional submersion in freshwater (up to 3m for 1 hr).
The redesigned charging port on the new C-Leg 4 makes it easier to insert the charging plug using one hand. Featuring a sliding flap and both an audible click and tactile feedback, you are now able to feel when the plug is inserted correctly.
Now it's even easier to get the most out of your C-Leg. With deep sleep mode, you can save battery when sitting for long periods or when the prosthesis is not in use, such as on long flights.
Many updates to our signature C-Leg Microprocessor Knee are inspired by feedback from users. As a result, the C-Leg 4 is available in the original lighter Desert Pearl colour and a new darker shade, Midnight Shadow, which is a deep gunmetal grey colour.

Contact usNumerous studies have investigated the advantages of C-Leg technology for people with a transfemoral (above-knee) amputation. These studies have shown that the frequency of falls is much lower with the C-Leg compared to conventional prostheses, proving a high level of safety. In addition, studies show that C-Leg users don't have to concentrate on their prosthesis at all times, but rather can move more freely in everyday situations. C-Leg users have more confidence in their prosthesis, and are also able to boost their activity levels, vary their walking speed and expend less energy while walking.

You can arrange a trial of the C-Leg 4 through your prosthetist or local prosthetic centre. To be eligible for a microprocessor knee you must fit certain criteria; if successful, a trial will then be undertaken to see if it is the right option for you.
A vibration signal notifies the user well in advance when the battery starts getting low. When it's drained, the C-Leg automatically switches to a predefined safety mode so that the user's preferred resistance in the stance phase is activated.
The C-Leg is rated to IP68 for water ingress into electronics; this is an internationally recognised grading standard. This means the C-Leg is safe for occasional use in freshwater. The electronic components of the C-Leg are protected from fresh water exposure up to 3 m for 1 hour (IP68). The C-Leg should not come in contact with salt water, chlorinated water or other solutions (e.g. soap).
Every user has different needs and learns at different speeds. Many users are able to walk downstairs step-over-step on their first day with the C-Leg. But it can also take several days or even weeks for users to completely master using the C-Leg in everyday situations. Your therapist will guide you through the training process.
A prosthetic fitting includes all components from the foot to the knee joint system, including the socket, which will be customised to your individual needs by your prosthetist. The assembly and setup of the system are also included, as well as regular service inspections during the entire period you use the C-Leg.
